Providence Health & Services Medical Assistant Certified - Express Care Retail in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Medical Assistant Certified (Express Care Indian Trail, Variable Shift, 0.6 FTE, part time with 24 hours per week) to Providence Medical Group in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Greet and check in patients and visitors
Collect and verify demographic information from patient or family member
Collect and process patient payments
Obtain and record vital signs and other appropriate information
Document all interactions in patient medical record
Perform sight and hearing tests as indicated
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Graduate of certified Medical Assistant program
Active Interim Certificate or Active Medical AssistantCertified through Washington State; required by date of hire
If in Active Interim Certification Status, applicant mustpass one of the following exams within 120 days of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Healthcare Provider (must be AHA accredited)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
6 months of medical assisting experience in clinic setting
Knowledge of insurance and insurance industry practices
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
