Providence Health & Services Team Assistant - Hospice in Medford, Oregon


Providence is calling a Team Assistant to Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR.

This position is full time with benefits available.

In this position, you will:

  • Support Providence Medford Home Health & HospiceTriage, Intake, Utilization Review and scheduling.

  • Perform duties that include but are notlimited to:

  • Performing specified demographic and payer source data entry ofreferral/intake information into Home Care's software system(s);

  • Calling physician offices, hospital or other referral source to obtain additionalpatient demographic & payer source information in order to verify insuranceeligibility and benefits for referral as requested;

  • Communicating new referralinformation to physician, Home Health and Hospice vendors or other entities viafax/phone/computer as requested;

  • Preparing IDT & PCC agendas; staff/patientscheduling; reporting statistical data; other office support functions asrequested.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Recent experience with Excel and Word

  • 1 year of recent experience in a customer service role participating with in a team in a medical office setting

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 1 year of experience with insurance verification, medical claims processing or insurance member enrollments or medical office setting

  • 1 year of recent experience with multiple computerized applications or business school level training and experience

  • Experience in a Home Services agency
